I want to build a diy traction device. I have a 3d printer at my disposable and I build diy projects with arduinos and other chips for fun. I’m building a drone at the moment.
It would be interesting to build a traction device. Most of the parts seem 3d printable, and the part that attaches to the head could be molded with silicone.
I had found one design on thingiverse https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6114676, but it requires vaccum cups which I don’t think are easily buildable (I’d use silicone for this sort of thing too).
Does anyone know of a diy traction device project out there. I can’t find much at the moment. The main problem for me is that I’m new to this, and I’ve never used a traction device before, so I don’t know what resistance the springs should be at.
For now, I think I’ll use trial and error to fine-tune my device, but I would really appreciate it if you knew of any similar projects and also what springs are most commonly used for this sort of thing.
Thanks a lot and have a great day.
